Only 14 Days for one of the Biggest game in La Liga

Just 14 days for what game you ask? Well, the ones and only Barcelona and Real Madrid.

For now, let's see how Madrid is doing before this big game.
Really, Really tough game Madrid had this weekend. They visited the city of Guijon to play a really humble but really angry team of Sporting de Guijon. Angry I say only against the Real Madrid players for some reason. Mourinho said something (really something not that bad, or stupid) that irritated the whole city, fans, coach, and players of Guijon. Anyway, they were upset and you could tell in the pitch that they were trying to show it. Tough crowd at the Castellon stadium; Real Madrid was playing well the first 25 minutes but then Sporting got pumped by their crowd and was showing some signs of superiority. Nevertheless, Madrid was always there. Higuain, scored but the goal was taken away for "Offside"; (There was no offside!) really bad call! Anyway, Benzema is put in the game to give some speed and fresh legs. Well, it worked, because thanks to Benzema and a really good header that the goalie could not control, Higuain could score!. 0-1 for Madrid! huge 3 points for Madrid at only 14 days before the Big game!

Go Monarchs!! ODU had an outstanding game this Saturday against the VMI school. Last game for the Monarchs, and a win for them! That way the Monarchs end the season with a winning season (7-3). Good season for the Monarchs! Amazing knowing that this is only their second year, and second outstanding season.

We have a new sport to follow! College Hoops started the season this past weekend! Gotta love college hoops! ODU had a really big game against a really good adversary: Georgetown. Really close game!. ODU was up top almost all game! Up until the last 5 minutes ODU was winning, but Georgetown came back with amazing three pointers, a little of luck and a couple of bad calls in their favor! Nevertheless, really good game ODU loses their first game only by 4 points against a ranked and good team of Georgetown.
That was Friday. Monday they played again and beat High Point University! Now The Monarchs are back on track and should have an outstanding season just like last year!

That is it for now! I do not want to talk about the RedSkins because, well let's just say that it would be a waste of time. Horrible and embarrassing game against the Eagles, who has a Vick on FIRE!

'Till next time!

Hala Madrid!
Go Monarchs!
Hail to the Skins!

Back from the Hiatus! And Madrid Still Strong!

Hello Everyone!

First of all I want to apologize for my absence the past days. Family issues prevented me to write to you all.
What it didn't prevent me from was to watch our Real Madrid Games!

Real Madrid... is giving us an amazing season so far! Unbeaten in all our championships (just a couple ties), but no losses yet! Mourinho (Madrid's coach) is showing us that he really really is a good coach. No one has done what he has so far. Real Madrid have played every game really well. From bottom to top, the Madrid squad looks formidable.Iker on the goal, well there is no words to describe him, I guess a word would be Superman. Their defense is strong! Carvalho is bringing a lot of experience in the full back with Pepe, and Ramos and Marcelo are just the best right and left back!. Midfield is where is at for Madrid! With Alonso and Khedira in the center middie, no one can go through them!, and when they have the ball they know just what to do on each game! Then there is our very skillful Di Maria and Ozil. So young, so talented, it's a joy to watch them play! And up top, well first we have our Higuain! still strong, young and really good!, and of course we have, well, perhaps the main character (for sure, who takes all the looks, and the cameras) Cristiano Ronaldo or CR7. He is having a magnificent season. Even though he is not my favorite type of player and I don't love him like others, he is doing a lot for my team! and that counts! He really looks like he is putting his soul and heart to this team. He can do big things, if he behaves and stays a little more humble!

So far so good, Madrid is in first place in La Liga. They are also qualified to the next round on Champions League. Also, almost qualified in the Copa del Rey. Very good season for our Merengues!
With a very comfortable victory today against Atletico (very tough team) Madrid is well on their way to meet their rival Barcelona. I don't know how I am going to be alive after this game, this is going to be huge. We'll have to wait a couple more days for that!

Now on Football! Skins are so far doing a better season than last year(4-4), which for a lot of fans is good! This weekend with their bye week they had a chance to rest, and be fully prepared to play the eagles next week!

ODU is doing also pretty well! Last game against Savanna state University, well lets say that there was not much of a game as the Monarchs beat them 57 to 9. Pretty rough for the tigers who can not find themselves in this season. Now Monarchs with a 6-3 season are looking very strong and better each season!

That's it so far for our teams! Not a bad season at all for them so far! let's keep hoping for the best!

Hala Madrid!
Go Monarchs!
Hail to the Skins!

Week of rest for Real Madrid.

Hello All,

A week to rest for Real Madrid. No La Liga game was played because there was International games to be played. So, we talk about that! Specifically about Venezuela! and Spain.
Let's start with my country Venezuela. Huge game for us. We played the national team of Mexico. Mexico played with almost all (except one or two) of their best players. Game was being played in Mexico where a rough crowd was awaiting for a game that I think Mexico thought they had in their pockets. Not so fast Mexicans. Venezuela was playing beautiful, as a matter of fact they scored first. AMAZING goal by Juan Arango, 1-0 for Venezuela. Unfortunately while Venezuela was playing their best Cichero decided to do a hard tackle on a Mexican, and it led him to a red card. Since then (minute 30 of 1st half) Venezuela played with 10 players and it was a different Venezuelan team. End of game: A tie 2-2 for both teams. Mexico tied within the last 5 minutes of the game! Good game for Venezuela, playing a much higher ranked (Overrated) team of Mexico.
The other game of interest was Spain vs the good old Scotland. 3-2 for Spain was the final score for that game. Spain was winning easily 2-0 and then Scotland came back with 15 minutes left on the clock, 2-2. Last 3 minutes of the game Fernando LLorente with a beautiful header to give the win to Spain. Spain still looks in good shape after winning the World Cup on the summer.

ODU football team had a rough week. They played the football team of Cal Poly. A university with a football team ranked 14 nationwide. 50-37 was the final score for Cal Poly. Chins up Monarchs, we lost against a well worth team.

Hail to the Skins!!... Big Victory for the Redskins against the Green Bay Packers!. They are still first place on the NFC East!

This week La Liga comes back with really good games. Let's see what happens for our teams!

Finally what I want to see!

Finally a week to be proud of our teams all together!.

Let us start like always with our favorite team. Real Madrid had a week to show their opponents and everyone else that they wouldn't like to face a Madrid this fit. Real Madrid face a not so bad team of Deportivo la Coruna. Madrid came out with their best 11 players. Ronaldo and Higuain up top, and with a on fire Di Maria and Ozil on the sides. Real Madrid started this game like they haven't done in all the others, scoring withing the first 5 minutes; that helped a lot. At the end of the game, 6-1 for the Merengues! Ronaldo two times Di Maria with a beautiful golazo! and Ozil and Higuain as well! Madrid played exceptional. I really hope they can keep it up, that they continue on this track. Remember that we have a game soon against Milan, big game on the biggest tournament. With this victory, and a tie at their home for Barcelona!, Real Madrid situates themselves in the second position right behind Valencia, who have being playing really well.

Now let's talk about our RedSkins, who were playing the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend! Big game, since both teams are rivals, and the ex quarterback of the Eagles is now playing for the Skins! 17-12 was the final score for the Skins! Exciting and awesome game we witnessed!. 2-2 the record now for the Skins, and on first place of the NFC East!

Let's go Monarchs!! ODU had their weekend of grace too! ODU played the college of Garden and Webb. Slow, defensive, but exciting game it was with a final score of 14-7 for the Monarchs! Huge win for us, finally a win at home! and now with a record of 3-2 we are looking pretty good!

So Lets hope our teams keep this up! I can digg it, couldn't you?
Next week there is international games, so there wont be any La Liga games. I am excited to see Venezuela and Spain play!.
Skins will play the on wining streak team of Green Bay, The Packers. And ODU will have a very tough game from a team that will be flying all the way from California, Poly Cali.
Cant Wait!.

Hala Madrid!
Go Monarchs!
Hail Skins!

Madrid still struggling. Better look for ODU, not so much for skins.

Another week has passed in our favorite sports and leagues.
Let us start with La Liga and Real Madrid. One word, for us the fans, Patience. That is what us the fans for Real Madrid will still need to have until they find their game. It was an away game for Los Merengues, at Valencia playing the humble team Levante. Madrid could not find their game that night, missing again so many shots, Higuain is lost somewhere in space, Ronaldo (although this time playing more as a team player) could not save his team. 0-0 the final score, a tie that is bitter sweet (at least we didn't lose). I think it is going to take Real Madrid a little time, and specially someone, one of the big players has to step up. We have to remember that this is pretty much a new era for Madrid, with a lot of new players and a new coach. That is why Patience is the spot on word for us the fans. Hopefully we wont wait as much!.

ODU!!!! I dont know what it is, but on the road we are on fire!. ODU traveled to New Jersey to play the University of Monmouth. Final score was 35-21!. A good victory for the Monarchs, since they can't find themselves at home! 2-2 the record so far, not bad but not too great either, even though we are playing a really tough team and most of the teams are supposed to be better! Good job Monarchs!.

Another of our teams that can't still find themselves is the Red Skins. Tough loss for the Skins, even though they were playing away. The Rams took the W for a game that ended 35-16. Let's see if the Skins can pick themselves up next week!

This week, there is another round of Champions League. Real Madrid will be playing Auxerre at France. Tough team, tough crowd, tough game. We'll see what happens!

Hala Madrid!

Madrid had it tough, Skins an ODU looking for that extra luck.

A lot of Ups and Downs this week.

Let us start with our favorite team, Real Madrid. Busy week for them since they had two different championships to play on. Wednesday Real Madrid opened their Champions League quest with a big victory. Los " Merengues" were playing at home against a young and good team of Ajax FC. Let's just say that Wednesday's game was the BEST game that Madrid has had on their season so far. They played perfectly, well it could have been a lot better since they missed SO many chances. That was the only thing that was not on point that night, their aim. They had 35 clear chance to goal, and only score two goals!. At least everything else was perfect, the passes the midfield, and even the defense or Iker Casillas did not have too much work. Well played for Madrid and three valuable points, beware Milan!!. Now their other obligation was on La Liga on Saturday. Madrid was playing a tough game, they knew that even before the whistle. Madrid played away against a veteran and experienced team, Real Sociedad. It was not the same Madrid of Wednesday. If it wasn't for a jewel goal of Di Maria ( really beautiful goal), and a bit of luck of Cristiano (CR7) Madrid would have lost or tied that game. At the end, 3 away points, really valuable points and back to home!.
On other scores, Barcelona beat one of their toughest opponents Atletico on a really exciting game.

Now to some football, where our teams did not have too much luck! =(. Let's start with ODU, where by the way I was working as usher with the event staff of the stadium. I gotta say it was pretty cool since they put me right behind the team! I could see the whole game, and be right next to the team and see at real close what they go through. For us, it was probably the biggest game of the season. We played the college of William and Mary. They are a really good team, almost ranked in the nation, and of course they were supposed to beat us by a lot!. And that... they Didn't!! We played beautiful the first three quarters! William and Mary were trailing us almost the whole game! Our defense was so awesome, sacking their sad (but good) quarterback 4 times! And De Marco was actually completing his passes!. But at the end they showed why they are a good team. On the fourth quarter we had a play, 2 yards from touchdown that we couldn't complete! That definitely came back to hunt us, because they scored a touchdown 5 minutes to end the game, which pretty much gave them the victory. Really disappointed loss since we HAD that game, we could have won against a really good team. At least we shut their mouths, they were talking so much trash before the game, and it took them almost the whole game to come back and actually beat us, only by 4 points =(. I'm still proud, GO MONARCHS, Hail ODU!
Our other team with not so much luck was the Redskins. Skins were playing the Texans at home. Texas started the season with a really big victory against the Colts. It was a really good and exciting game and the Skins like ODU, were up in the score almost the whole game. The game went to over time, I HATE NFL over time! It is so unfair and not smart! The Texans won the coin toss, and started with the ball. The skins actually managed to stop them and get the ball to a field goal kick range. Skins had the game in their pocket all they had to do is make the field goal ( which was at a range that the kicker never had score). Just as Gano was getting to kick the ball, the Texans coach called a time out, and as Gano's kick was making it through the poles, well it didn't count. Second try for Gano, and of course this time he misses it! =(.. I hate scared, cheating coaches that try to Ice the kickers! oh well, good game after all.

For this week Madrid has a La Liga appointment in the middle of the week and then again in the weekend. Should be a fun week, ODU play's away I believe, and Skins will try to get their 2-1 record.

That's it for now!
Hala Madrid!
Go Monarchs!
Hail Skins!

Week 2 in La Liga! and college football, and NFL season begins!

Hello Everyone! Hope you are doing fine, I know I am. My girlfriend came to visit me from George Mason University. We spent all weekend together, but that didn't stop me from watching my favorite sports!
One more week on La Liga has concluded.
Exciting and surprising week this was for La Liga. Let's start with our archenemies Barcelona and their first loss of the season! Yes, shocker one since they were playing the humble team of Hercules FC. Hercules is a team that bumped up this season from the second division, so that tells you that they are a new, young, and humble team. 0-2 was the result for Hercules. Real Madrid started their game knowing this result from Barcelona, so they knew they had to win no matter what; and that's exactly what they did. 1-0 was the result for "Los Merengues" (Real Madrid). Tough game it was, like I said on the last post. Osasuna is always a tough team to play, as it was proven the whole match. Ricardo Carvalho the goal scorer, odd since he is the central back defender; that shows you how much it took for Madrid to win. 4 points for Madrid while Barcelona has 3. The quest for La Liga is going to be fun to watch, a lot of small and humble teams are playing very well (watch for Atletico!).

NFL has started!! Yes, I am very excited since I did really good on my NFL fantasy team! Eli Manning gave me a lot of points, even though he had 3 interceptions! Also, the Redskins won!! It was a real thriller, since it had to go until the last three seconds to see who was the winner! Good game for the skins, defense was their strongest asset.  The best thing was that... well they beat their archenemies, the Dallas Cowboys!
ODU football team also had a awesome weekend! They beat Campbell College, on the road. While the score implies that ODU had it easy game, it wasn't so since there is no easy game in football.
Well, all I can say is that this weekend was awesome!. I got to see my girl, and all of my teams won this weekend! I can't ask for more.
This week The Champions League starts. This is the most prestigious championship for soccer clubs in Europe. Real Madrid is the team that has won the most of these cups, but they won their last one on 2002; so, it has been a while. Real Madrid will be playing Ajax FC on the start for the 10th champions league quest! We'll hope for the best!
'Till next post!
